ROUTES IN DENBIGHSHIRE

5. Cae Ddol and Town Walk, Ruthin

Activity: Walking
Description:

The walk starts from the Cae Ddol Car Park adjacent to the Old Gaol Experience

As you walk forward into Cae Ddol, follow the river on your right, crossing the river at any one of its 3 small bridges, walk in a clock wise direction and complete each of the 9 piece natural wooden trim trial. Instruction for each piece of equipment can be found next to the apparatus.

The trim trail consists of the following:   

1. Balance Beam
2. Stilts
3. 3 Position Chin ups
4. Log Hops
5. Heave Beams
6. Log stack
7. Bench Sit ups
8. Parallel Bars

Once you have completed the trim trial, cross back over the river to your right and following the fencing on the left until you reach a circular brick tunnel.

Pass through the tunnel and carry on forward, passing Scot House on the left until you reach Corwen Road

Cross over the road, walking to your left along the pavement.

Carry on forward through the town, turning left onto Clwyd Street or for a steeper decline take the first left before Clwyd Street and carry on forward joining Clwyd Street.

This road will take you past the Old Gaol (www.ruthingaol.co.uk) on your
right and back to the Cae Ddol car park on your left.
