ROUTES IN ANGLESEY

3. Aberffraw Coastal Walk

Activity: Walking / Running
Description:

A short easy walk along the river, around the headland and back through fields to the village.

From the old bridge car park, cross the bridge and turn left along the road at the side of the river.

Follow the path to the right and then turn left along a narrow path at the side of the house.

Continue along the path taking care because the path is narrow. If the tide is out the lower path may be used.

Continue along the shore, then take a second turn on the right up on to the headland.

Turn right at the signpost and walk in the direction of the shed. Just before the shed take the right hand path.

Go through the kissing gate and follow the lane. Turn right at the first junction. Follow the track past the house and through the kissing gates back to the village.

Turn right into Fron and back along the river to the start.

How to get to the start :

Turn off the A55 towards Rhostrehwfa (A5). Follow this road for approximate  mile and a half, turn left onto the B4422. Follow the signs towards Aberffraw.

Take the first turning to the left on entering the village, this will take you to the car park at the old bridge.
