ROUTES IN ANGLESEY

5. Penrhos Coastal Walk

Activity: Walking
Description:

The park is situated between Holyhead and Valley at the end of the cob on the Holyhead side. This stretch of water separates Anglesey from Holy Island.

The walk starts from the main car park. Leave the car park passing the toilet block on the left, turn left again at the flagpole then right at the next gate. At a junction there are several animal grave to be seen, turn left here and right at the next junction. Continue to the next junction and walk straight on, turn right onto the Coastal path and follow this up to the headland. Enjoy the views here of Holyhead Port and on the other side along the coast as far as Church Bay. Carry on along the Coastal  Path and on reaching the animal graves again turn left, turn left at the next gate, right at the flagpole and walk back to the car park.
How to get to the start :

By car – leave the A55 at the slip road signposted Valley. Drive through the village, across the cob and turn right into the park. Note – Car Park restricted to vehicle height of 2 metres
